Ok I'm not gonna waste anyone's time here building this up and making you wonder whether or not mind-set is actually important. The truth of the matter is that mind-set is not only important, it is the absolutely foundation of long term fat los success.
The first thing that we need to look at here is programming. This is really whats its all about. Now, when I say 'programming' I am really referring to your subconscious mind - the driving force behind each and every decision and action you make. Your path, whether towards success or failure, will be determined by your subconscious and how it has been programmed.
Our programming comes from everything we hear, everything people say to us, everything we say to ourselves, all of our internal dialogue, everything that we do, and so on. All of this eventually adds up to create your beliefs. So, for example, if you are consistently told that diets don't work or that you'll never be slim, this is going to be formed into a subconscious belief.
The beliefs that you have developed will then create your attitudes, which will then create your feelings and these will determine your actions. The actions that you take will then lead to a result, positive or negative. So if your actions are negative towards dieting and weight loss then you will always be struggling to lose weight and keep that weight off. This is what most people struggle with.
So all of this really starts with your programming. If you have spend your entire life battling with dieting and foods and your weight then you're always going to struggle. Your subconscious, simply put, will not be helping you, but hindering you.
As the saying goes, 'what you believe you will achieve'. This is completely true but it works in both ways. So if your beliefs, which are created by your programming, are not right for long term weight loss, you will achieve just that - a failure to achieve this goal.
When it comes down to it, your mind-set is really the foundation of everything. Not only with regards to your weight, but literally everything both positive and negative in your life. Most dieters completely underestimate the importance of mind-set in achieving a permenent weight loss result, and they do so to their peril. So what can you do about this?
